This service provides a basic, four
generation report that includes the starting individual, parents,
grandparents, and great-grandparents. Resources utilized in the
search process will be primarily those database services that
Knightsbridge subscribes to, public information records, and
library resources. Should you desire copies of vital records,
such as birth and death certificates, our staff will be happy to
secure them for you at actual cost that will be billed
separately. Most vital records run between $10 and $25 per
record.
Report Options: There are a
variety of ways that your report may be formatted.
1) Written format that includes
pedigree charts, family group sheets, copies of any records
identified, and a research source list.
2) If you intend
to continue researching your family, you may elect to subscribe to
Ancestry.com. Knightsbridge will enter the research directly into
your account, attaching records and sources to each individual
identified.
Teach Me How Package
The package includes
four 75 minute sessions, in person or via web meeting. It begins
with a discussion about goals and desired outcomes (do you want to
produce a 7-generation pedigree chart or do you intend to publish a
family history) so that the appropriate steps and strategies are
followed from the beginning.
The basics of conducting
genealogy research are reviewed, including documenting sources,
identifying local, regional, national, and international resources,
using genealogy software, researching on the web, and an
introduction to the resources available through our local library
system.
Cemetery and Obituary Locator Service
This service is
available within a 50 mile radius of Tampa and includes: a
copy of the obituary (if available), a photo of the headstone, and
up to four photos of the surrounding area and/or cemetery
entrance.
Fees:

Extended area (25 to 50
miles from Tampa) $40 for the first individual and then $25 for
each additional individual plus mileage.

Is DNA Testing for Me?
You’ve heard everyone
talking about DNA testing, but you’re not sure how it works, which
test(s) are appropriate, or what it may do to further your
research. This service offers a 30-45 minute counseling
session to determine if DNA testing would be helpful to your
research and makes recommendations about which test(s) will be most
helpful.
I Have My DNA Test Results - Now What?
You’ve made the
investment in DNA testing and have your results. This service
offers a 45-60 minute counseling session to review your results,
determine relevance to your research questions, and explore
appropriate project groups to join that may network you with
unknown family members.
Local Photo Service
Whether you need a photo of
the church where your grandparents were married or a picture of the house that was
your mother's childhood home, you can get your image without ever leaving your
house.
Fees:
Local area (25 miles or less
from Tampa) $25 per individual
Extended area (25 to 50
miles from Tampa) $40 for the first address and then $25 for each
additional address plus mileage.

Custom Research
This is classic "per
hour" research, when you need to have a single individual or
objective researched to help you get over, thru, or around a "brick
wall". At the end of the initial research, we provide a
written report which includes a log of all documents researched,
images of any original documents (when available) and our analysis
and recommendations for further research. Prior to conducting any
research Knightsbridge requires disclosure of any prior
research (to preclude duplication of research, unless authorized),
a signed "letter of agreement" (to document what results are
expected), and the retainer fee.

For most projects, the research fee is $50 per hour, plus
expenses.
Document Pick-Up Service
Do you need someone to
pick up documents from a Tampa Bay area courthouse, library,
or government agency? This service is especially helpful to those
who reside outside of Florida. When you have identified original
documents through your research, but they can only be copied
or retrieved in
person, our staff will serve as your proxy to obtain them.
The Greater Tampa Bay area includes: Hillsborough and
Pinellas counties which includes the cities of Tampa, St.
Petersburg, and Clearwater. Extended service area includes
the counties of: Pasco, Hernando, Polk, Manatee, and
Sarasota.
Pick-up Fees:
GTB area, a flat fee of $25
per pick-up location.
Extended area, $40 per
pick-up location, plus actual mileage.
Courthouse Research
Do you need someone to
conduct courthouse research to identify records such as land, court
proceddings, or estate papers?
Fee: $40 per hour plus
actual expenses such as parking, copy fees, mileage, and
mailing your documents.
Military Records
Do you want to secure
military records for one of your ancestors but are reluctant to
wade through government processes to locate and acquire them? Let
Knightsbridge do the legwork for you!
